Image Name: Wildflowers - Indian Paintbrush
The many hues of Indian Paintbrush dominate well-drained slopes and rocky ledges from low elevations to alpine meadows. The colour of the brush is not due to the flower, but the floral bracts which enfold them and may be blood-red, soft pink, orange or even yellow & white.
