Cypripedium calceolus - the Yellow Lady's Slipper growas as an individual plant or in crowded clumbs in mosit forests and mossy bogs. (Source: Wildflowers of the Canadian Rockies by George W.Scotter and Halle Flygare). This lovely speciman was found in Bow Valley Provincial Park in early June and shows the last remaining drop of a rain shower the night before.
