Rocky Mountains

The coyote shaped head and completely natural turquoise colours of Peyto Lake - enhanced by a cloudy day - make it one of the most distinctive and spectacular scenes in the rockies. The lake is named after William 'Wild Bill' Peyto, one of Banff National Park's first wardens.
